Golf is a game that you can start at any age. Most clubs welcome the casual player and no matter what your ability, the handicap system allows you to compete. Whilst the game is challenging, it provides a level of achievement constantly that you find in no other sport.

New Zealand is blessed with nearly 400 golf courses. The game is played on every type of terrain and features our rural country courses, seaside links, parkland and resort courses. There is a course for the challenge and affordability you seek. Simply search in our District list.

To confirm your game it is best to use our tee booking system. Some courses you will be able to walk up and get a game, but we recommend for the best experience possible you make a tee booking.

SENIOR GOLF

Golf is a game for life and we have a group of very active senior golfers. Our national championship (Age of 50+) attracts a quality international field and each year we select two national teams (players must be at least 55 years). For news on senior’s golf in New Zealand visit this section.

New Zealand is fortunate to have a large number of elite coaches who have developed their skills through the PGA programme. No matter what level of golf you are at, these coaches will be able to assist you in developing your game across all areas including technical, tactical, physical, psychological and organizational.
