New Zealand Golf is excited to announce the return of Make Time Play 9 for a second year!

Everyone is busy, but we’re encouraging people to make time in their day to do things that are meaningful to them, to be active, to be with their friends and family, to take on a new personal challenge, and to have fun. What better way to do that than on the golf course?

Last year, 239,175 9-hole rounds were played and entered for Make Time Play 9 with New Zealand being one of the leading countries with increased participation in rounds played.
From 1 October 2020 – 31 March 2021, simply play 9-holes and hand in your scorecard to have a chance to be randomly drawn as one of nine players invited to the Make Time Play 9 Final event hosted at Millbrook Resort in 2021.
The two leading scores from the Make Time Play 9 Final event will win a once in a lifetime trip to play in The R&A 9-Hole Challenge on the eve of The 149th Open Championship at Royal St George’s Golf Club in 2021. The event will include 42 other club golfers from across the world and each person will receive return airfares, accommodation and season passes to the 149th Open Championship.*
The fun doesn’t stop there as every month, there will be opportunities for golfers to be randomly drawn to win a variety of giveaways such as weekend getaways, and LOVE Golf apparel.
We also have a range of prizes for randomly selected young people who have been out for 9-holes which makes this summer the perfect opportunity to invite your child, nephew, niece or grandchild out on course too!
Every 9-hole round you play will contribute as a new entry, whether it is during a club competition, summer twilight, or a round with friends to encourage you to play more!
We understand that not everyone can give up four hours of their day for 18 holes and with the start of daylight saving, let’s turn off the devices, get out in nature and make time with your mates, your work colleagues, your partner, or your family to play nine.
Start making time for the things you love.
