Nick Voke has moved up seven spots and into the top 10 after two rounds at the Evans Scholars Invitational on the Korn Ferry Tour.


Voke has carded rounds of 69 and 67 to be in a tie for seventh at eight-under par.

He began round two off the first and opened with three straight pars before making a birdie at the par 3 fourth. He’d make two more at the seventh and nineth to make the turn at three under and in full control.

Voke made up two more shots at the 12th and 18th holes to sign for a blemish-free five-under round and sits four shots back of the leader midway through the tournament.

Fellow Kiwi Steve Alker miss playing the weekend after rounds of 74 and 71, four shots outside the cutline at one-over.

Meanwhile Ryan Fox has held steady in round two of the Portugal Masters on the European Tour.

He’s backed up his opening round of 67 with a second round 69 to be at six-under for the tournament and in a tie for 12th.

Fox is eight shots back of Frenchman Julien Guerrier who is five shots clear of second place.

On the PGA Tour, Tim Wilkinson remains in the top 15 at the Safeway Open in a tie for 12th. He’s shot rounds of 67 and 68 to be nine-under for the event, six shots back of Sam Burns.

Finally, Lydia Ko has fallen down the leaderboard at the season’s second major, the ANA Inspiration.

Ko had backed up her opening round of 69 with 74 to be 0ne-under for the event and in a tie for 36th.

She’s 10 shots back of Nelly Korda.
