EZGO NEW ZEALAND SPEEDGOLF OPEN

24/01/2020

The EZGO New Zealand Speedgolf Open gets underway tomorrow at Whitford Park Golf Club with a number of players vying to get their names next to the title.

Two-time and reigning world number one Jamie Reid is the favourite to take out the event as he gets his 2020 campaign underway. A win at his home open will set hi up for another successful year of competing in this growing game.

He last competed and won the event in 2018.

He’ll be up against former world number one Rob Hogan of Ireland, who was on top of the world in 2013 and 2015. The pair will no doubt have an intriguing battle as Hogan returns from three years away from the sport.

In the women’s side of the draw, Liz McKinnon will look to continue her six years of dominance in the event.

However, Manawatu/Wanganui’s Lily Griffin poses a serious threat as she looks to win her maiden EZGO New Zealand Speedgolf event.
