Danny Lee is teeing it up for the second week in a row in Asia as he looks to back up his second-place finish at last weeks CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges in South Korea.

He plays the ZOZO Championship in Japan on the PGA Tour and with a little over six weeks until the 2019 President’s Cup at Royal Melbourne, he’s looking for another good performance to add his name into captain’s pick contention.

Lee will need a good stretch of results to snap up one of the four captain’s picks for the Ernie Els led side. Jason Day is also likely to be picked as a captain’s pick in his home country.

The Kiwi number two tees off at 12.50pm today alongside Rafa Cabrera Bello and Japanese Rockstar Ryo Ishikawa.

Another man searching for a captain’s pick for the upcoming President’s Cup is Kiwi number one, Ryan Fox.

He pegs it up in the Portugal Masters on the European Tour early tomorrow morning alongside side Martin Kaymer and Eddie Pepperall.

Like Lee, Fox will need a strong run of events to close out his year to chuck his name into captain’s pick contention. He’s showing signs of returning to form, having led last week after the first round.

His tee time is 1.20am tomorrow.

Michael Campbell also tees it up in the same event as he makes his return to Europe’s main tour. He’s off at 1.30 early Friday morning with Romain Wattel and Alexander Bjork.

Back in Asia, Lydia Ko plays in the BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea.

The world number 31 is looking to make her way up the Race to CME Globe rankings in the last three events until the finale at the CME Group Tour Championship. She currently sits in 39th place.

She plays alongside Ji Young Park and Jasmine Suwannapura 12pm today.

On the European Challenge Tour we have four Kiwi’s playing in the Foshan Open in China.

Josh Geary is the first of the Kiwi’s teeing off as he gets underway at 12.05pm today. He’s looking to climb the European Challenge Tour rankings as he looks to lock up a European Tour card for next year. He’s currently in 22nd place, with the top 15 all earning status to Europe’s main tour for 2020.

Hayden Beard, Kieran Muir, and Fraser Wilkin also tee it up in this week’s event on the European Challenge Tour today. Their tee times are 12.25pm, 12.35pm, and 1.25pm respectively.

Harry Bateman also has a start on the Abema Tour – the feeder tour to the Japan Tour. This week’s event is the JGTO Novil Final.

His tee time is 11.31am today.

Finally, we have a host of Kiwi’s flying the New Zealand flag over in Australia for the Vic PGA Championship at RAVC Cape Schanck.

Fraser MacLachlan, Ben Campbell, Gareth Paddision, Denzel Ieremia, James Anstiss, Ryan Chisnall, Mark Hutson, Mark Brown, and Campbell Rawson are all looking to make their presence felt this week.

Play also gets underway today.
