Golf Event & Programme Activator
Canterbury Golf are seeking a self-motivated person to take on a part-time event and programme activator role for the next stage of our exciting new young person’s participation project.
Canterbury Golf is actively involved in NZ Golf’s Love Golf Futures programme which aims to enrich the lives of young people by creating experiences that inspire a lifelong love of golf. Through the delivery of learn and play sessions and Futures events, more young people and families in our region are being provided with the opportunity to experience a variety of formats of the game.
The next project on the horizon for Canterbury Golf is leading the development of a second Futures Canterbury golf hub for young people and families in Christchurch East and North Canterbury that will deliver regular, engaging golf experiences at participating golf clubs and in community spaces.
This is a part-time, 12 month or fixed term employment agreement covering up to 10 hours per week on average and requires the ability to work flexible hours predominately on the weekend. An hourly rate and appropriate allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Success in this role requires high energy, excellent communication, computer skills and organisational skills; along with a passion for working with young people; and a knowledge of golf.
This a unique opportunity to join a progressive organisation that is responsible for leading the development of golf in the Canterbury region through the delivery of events and programmes designed to engage participants of all playing abilities.

Waiheke Island Golf Club - Greens-keeper Required


Waiheke Island Golf Club has a position available for a full time or part time Greens-keeper for its 9-hole golf course. The position is available to be filled immediately and the salary will be subject to negotiation, based on both experience and qualifications.

The candidate will need to have experience in machine maintenance and adjustment, as well as be familiar with irrigation systems (preferably Rainbird system). Experience with drainage installation will also be an advantage. The successful applicant would also need to manage a team of enthusiastic volunteers that assist with day to day mowing, coring and various planned improvements on the course.

Golf Operations Manager in Tauranga

We are seeking a passionate, hands-on and organised golfer with exceptional customer service and people skills to join the Tauranga Golf Club and The Clubroom team as Golf Operations Manager.

The Role: Reporting directly to The Clubroom Manager, the Golf Operations manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful day-to-day running of golf operations through exceptional customer service, player coordination and pro shop operations. Join our team to drive pro shop sales and provide world-class customer service.

This key role is employed under The Clubroom Tauranga and is based at the Racecourse Reserve, Gate Pa, Tauranga Golf Club.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

· Plan and coordinate the day-to-day golf operations in liaison with the Tauranga Golf Club committee and regional and/or national golfing bodies

· Collect and control green fees, scramble fees, tournament entries and administer electric golf carts

· Coordinate all pennant and other club event activity

· Manage the production of advance tee booking templates, the loading of club competitions and the production of the annual fixture book

· Coordinate and manage corporate day events by taking bookings and liaising with the event organiser to ensure setup is completed and end results are managed

· Assist in social media posts in various channels, including Facebook and Instagram

· Take membership enquiries and payments when the General Manager is away

Skills & Experience:

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of golf with a passion for the game. You will have previous experience managing people and consider yourself highly organised and efficient with excellent people skills, communication and customer service skills. Previous experience in event coordination liaising with multiple stakeholders is advantageous.

You will enjoy hands-on work, be an administration superstar and work well under pressure.
