22/12/2017

Ryan Chisnall has finished as the leading Kiwi at the PGA of Australia Tour Q-School to earn category 16 status alongside Nick Voke, Mat Perry, James Anstiss and Campbell Rawson.

After five rounds of gruelling stroke play, Tasman’s newest professional finished at four-under for the event in a tie for ninth. Just one shot behind was Voke who completed his week at three-under par.

Chisnall now starts a new chapter in his golfing career which will be watched very closely by everyone in the golf community.

“It’s an exciting moment and I guess this is what it’s all about, so I’m looking forward to the challenge,” said Chisnall.

“I would like to thank New Zealand Golf alongside everyone who has played a part in my amateur career and hopefully I can continue this form and make it all worth it.”

All players who finished sixth through to 40th plus ties receive Exemption Category 16.
