FOX STILL LEADS ON EUROPEAN TOUR

5/07/2018

With an amazing birdie on the 18
th hole, Ryan Fox is currently the outright leader at the Irish Open on the European Tour and is another step closer to qualifying for The Open Championship. (Some players still on course)

As he looks to capture his maiden European Tour title, Fox made five birdies and two bogeys to end the day at three-under under par.

The Kiwi has played in all 11 of the Rolex Series events since they were introduced last season, securing four top tens including a tie for fourth at this event last season and a tie for eighth at the Italian Open five weeks ago to prove his love for the big stage.

He will also be aiming to finish inside the all-important top three who earn an invitation to the 147th Open Championship at Carnoustie.

With a star-studded field which includes defending champion Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy, Fox is starting to create a very memorable weekend at Ballyliffin Golf Club who host for the first time.
