ANOTHER GOOD WEEK FOR LEE ON PGA TOUR

14/05/2018

Danny Lee has finished at great week at the Players Championship today in a tie for seventh at -12 under par, six shots behind Webb Simpson who claimed his first win on the PGA Tour since 2013.

Lee played in the final pairing alongside Simpson who started the final round with a seven-shot lead. The Kiwi was in outright second at the halfway mark before bogeys at the 12th and 16th where he found the water at both holes to card an even-par round of 72.

That still saw him pick up US$331,375.00 and earn 91 FedEx Points and jumped from 148th to 119th in the season long points standings as he seems to have found some of his old form.

Simpson navigated his way through a few mistakes but not too much stress to win the event. No one got closer than four shots of Simpson, even after a double bogey on the 18th hole when his only concern was finishing the hole at the TPC Sawgrass.
