Ryan Fox and Michael Hendry will feature at the new and exciting ISPS Handa World Super 6 competition played in Perth tomorrow afternoon.
These two went head-to-head for the final position at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games last year alongside New Zealand number one Danny Lee and loved the challenge. Some of the world’s best golfers will be testing out the new format that could change the game.
The World Super 6 in will combine 54 holes of traditional stroke play across the first three days before the field is further reduced with a second cut being made after the third round (54 holes) to the leading 24 players who will battle it out over six exciting holes of match-play until one man is left standing.
This all seems like fun and games, but to have a large prize pool of AU$1,750,000 in its debut year is outstanding and will create pure drama. With Hendry finding form with a T15 in Australia last week and Fox’s very consistent form on the European Tour, they are in with a real chance in this form of the game where anything can happen.
