A top class field of New Zealand women pros and World No.1 amateur Lydia Ko are expected to play in the fourth staging of the New Zealand Professional Women Golfers Anita Boon Pro-Am.

The tournament is to be staged at the North Shore Golf Club with a two day format in November.

On Thursday November 8 a women’s only Pro-Am will be staged and on Friday November 9 a mixed Pro-Am will follow.

The event is proudly sponsored by KFC who return as Corporate Sponsor for the second year.

“We are delighted to be involved again this year with this unique event seeing top New Zealand and Australian women golfers coming together and competing all for a great cause,” said KFC General Manager Brent Kitto.

The sponsorship from KFC assists the event to raise money for NZ Gynaecological Cancer Foundation for their work educating us about ovarian cancer, the disease that ended the golfing future of former professional golfer Anita Boon.

It is the second biggest event in New Zealand women’s golf behind the ISPS Handa NZ Women’s Open and it provides the professionals a good playing opportunity before the Women's Open.

Many former touring professionals and New Zealand representatives including defending champion Caroline Bon, past winner Kerryn Starr-Barker and Sarah Nicholson, as well as top Australian women professionals will also be competing for the top Professional prize.

The NZPWG team can be contacted by emailing or visit the website for information on how to enter online and available sponsorship opportunities.
