New Zealand amateur rep Ben Campbell is in a share of 13thplace at The Players Amateur at the Hilton Head Golf Club in South Carolina heading into the final round.
Campbell had two birdies, two bogeys and two double bogeys on the South Course to be on an even par total and 11 shots back from the Australian leader Daniel Nisbet.
Fellow New Zealand rep Mathew Perry had a one over par 73 to earn a share of 53rdplace while Royal Auckland golfer Fraser Wilkin had a five over par 77 and is back in a share of 72ndplace.
The Kiwi golfers are in the States playing in elite amateur events ahead of the naming of the Eisenhower Team which will compete in Turkey October.
Form ahead of the World Amateur Team’s Championship will be one of the leading points of the selection criteria.
