Player Name

Hamish Robertson

World Ranking: 1603

Taihape professional Hamish Robertson has been one of the most consistent performers on the Charles Tour in the past few years.

He has come close on a number of occasions to winning most notably in Tauranga, Muriwai and Taranaki.

At the 2011 ask>metro Muriwai Open Robertson trailed amateur Josh Munn by one shot heading down the final hole and delivered one of the shots of the championship – a four iron from around 190m to within 10 feet – to have a chance for the win.

His birdie putt went sliding by the cup and Robertson could only stand and watch Munn two putt for his win.

A few months later in 2011 Robertson was the bridesmaid once more when his good mate Joshua Carmichael birdied the last hole at Taranaki to beat him by one shot.

Robertson, who has won many times as a pro in Pro-Am events, is a consistent golfer who is sure to secure a breakthrough win on the Charles Tour before long.
