Profile

Hillier is one of the more exciting young golfers on the scene and has a bright future ahead of him.
 
As Manor Park's number one golfer, he currently holds the New Zealand Amateur Championship, New Zealand U19 Stoke Play and the Harewood Open on the Jennian Homes Charles Tour.
 
In March this year Hillier was also the leading amateur at the New Zealand Open in Queenstown and most recently, Australia Junior Champion, which earnt him a ticket to the Emirates Australian Open in November.

Aged 4. Began playing competitively when I was about 8.

Hours practice per week:

Roughly 30 hours on and off the course. Depends on how much school work I have.

Warm up routine:

Stretching and band work, putting, chipping then hitting balls on the range.

Most satisfying golf moment:

Winning the 2015 NZ Amateur in front of my parents who drove all the way up to Auckland to watch the final.

Strongest part of your game:

Driving or wedges.

Best thing about golf:

Being able to meet all kinds of people from around the world and play lots of amazing golf courses.

Aspirations:

To become the best I can be as a golfer and a person.

Advice for new players:

Don't have any expectations, just go out and enjoy it.

Favourite Course:

Pebble Beach, because of its views and condition of the course.

Going to the beach.
