Nick Voke 10/15/1994

The Manukau amateur surprised everyone including himself when he shot a four under par 68 to lead round one of the New Zealand Stroke Play Championship. Voke faded to finish in a share of 19th place but he would have taken a lot out of leading that experienced company. The Auckland rep has had four top 10 finishes at national events around New Zealand in 2012 with a fourth place in the individual standings at the SBS Invitational in Invercargill his best performance. He is a player of great potential with a fine swing and takes his place in the Srixon Development Squad for 2012 – 2013.

A mate took me out to the course much to my discust, but then I realised I enjoyed the game and never left
