Profile

Compton Pikari 3/7/1995

Compton Pikari is a player on the rise. The Te Awamutu golfer was fast out of the blocks in 2012 winning three junior tournaments in quick succession, culminated by a comfortable win at the North Island Under 19 Championship. From there he went onto win the South Island Stroke Play Championship in a quality field that included the likes of Vaughan McCall, Daniel Pearce and Mathew Perry. It was a run of form that saw Pikari selected in the Junior Boys team for the Trans-Tasman Cup and he represented New Zealand at the Australian Boys’ Amateur. Pikari has continued his good form in 2013 with an impressive win at the Grant Clements Memorial in Mount Maunganui, a bronze medal at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival and a seventh place at the New Zealand Stroke Play at Paraparaumu Beach.
