PaR nz Golfing Holidays is seeking new staff to complement their small team. We have a growing business that is now in its 18th year of operation.

We work with New Zealand Golf on a number of tournaments in New Zealand, have an expansive list of fun golf tournaments that we manage around the Pacific in addition to a comprehensive charity and corporate golf programme in New Zealand. Annually we take a number of 5-star tours abroad and entertain a growing number of golfers into New Zealand.

The work is varied in all these sectors where our goal is to deliver a unique golf and travel service that sets the bar!

Immediately we are looking for a ‘savvy’ customer service person that loves golf and sport, and is competent with all aspects of word, excel and power point operations. Competency in websites a huge advantage and the availability to travel from time to time at events and tournaments, is expected.

Before Christmas we will appoint a middle-management position to assist the two directors. This position can be tailored many ways and we welcome any applications of interest if you want to explore a new role in the exciting golf industry.

Whitford Park Golf Club - Operations/Golf Manager

WPGC is one of Auckland’s premier golf clubs with a course and facilities widely recognised as the envy of other clubs. We are now looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Operations/Golf Manager to lead and run all aspects of the golf club.

Working alongside committed and experienced staff and reporting to the Board of directors, you will be responsible to manage and administer the Golf Club’s course, facilities, finances, sponsors, staff, contractors and members to the highest level and will play a crucial role in optimising the potential for the Club and its various revenue streams.
Applicants should be highly organised and driven and have experience in Golf and Club governance. Event management, Leadership and previous work in the golf industry would be particularly advantageous.
This role is a full time position at the golf club with hours to suit member’s needs and event timing.

New Zealand Golf - Commercial Manager

New Zealand Golf is a non for profit charitable trust established in 1910 as the governing body for golf in New Zealand responsible for leading, growing and supporting the game. The organisation is governed by a dedicated group of volunteer Directors, the majority of whom are elected by the 15 District Association members. New Zealand Golf’s office is in Auckland, and is co-located with the PGA of New Zealand.

Golf is the most played sport in New Zealand with over half a million kiwis playing golf each year at one of the 390 clubs throughout the country. As a sector, golf employs over 2,000 people and contributes in excess of a billion dollars to the national economy each year. 

As a sport, golf makes a significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of its participants, increases the social connectivity of communities and improves provides important education and life values outcomes for young people.

New Zealand Golf provides a wide range of services for the game including overseeing the rules of the game, running of the national handicapping system, managing the New Zealand Golf representative team programme (including the Olympic programme) and the management of over 20 elite golf tournaments including the New Zealand Men’s and Women’s Open Championships.

New Zealand Golf also has a strong focus on the growth of the game at grass roots level with a growing number of support programmes in place.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading the implementation of the organisation’s commercial strategy.
  • Developing commercial, sponsorship and advertising partnerships that generate new revenue streams for the organisation.
  • Leading the commercial development of the New Zealand Golf website and associated digital properties.
  • Securing charitable trust funding and maintaining strong relationships with charitable trust organisations.
  • Effectively managing partnership relationships.
  • Fostering productive relationships between New Zealand Golf, District Associations, Golf Clubs and other stakeholders.
