Marketing & Design Executive - NZ Golf

We’re a not-for-profit charitable trust established in 1910 as the governing body for golf in New Zealand responsible for fostering and developing the game. New Zealand Golf provides a wide range of services associated with the game including the national handicapping system, managing the New Zealand Golf representative teams, operating 20 elite amateur golf tournaments, overseeing the running of the New Zealand Open Championships and importantly, supporting the health and sustainability of the golf network across the country.

Excitingly tasked with enhancing New Zealand Golf’s profile and positive perception through our branding and marketing initiatives, this role presents an exciting and unique opportunity to significantly help shape the future growth of New Zealand’s largest participation sport.

CORE ASPECTS OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Commercial and Marketing Manager, this role presents an opportunity to utilise your strategic thinking and creative skills in the same role. The key purpose of the role is to support the development and implementation of marketing and design activity across the business. The role will work closely with all departments of the organisation, particularly within the media/PR, content, digital, commercial and marketing areas.

Marketing & Campaign Activation

Support the development, enhancement and successful implementation of New Zealand Golf’s award-winning marketing campaigns including LOVE Golf, She Loves Golf and other target market segments.

Design

With a real passion and strength in design you’ll oversee the representation of the New Zealand Golf brand and sub brands to ensure consistent presentation and messaging along with top class presentation of reports across the organisation from commercial partner reporting, social media and campaign reports to the annual report.

SKILLS

Tertiary qualification in marketing or similar is desirable but not essential.

At least 2-3 years’ experience across graphic design and marketing.

Strong understanding of design and file requirements for print and digital.

Experience with Adobe CC (strengths in InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).

Ability to develop and implement successful marketing campaigns and plans including experience across multiple channels particularly digital would be an advantage.

Strong relationship management skills and ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders by sharing relevant information and identifying and dealing with issues effectively.

A passion for sport and golf preferred but not essential.

New Zealand Golf are seeking an experienced communications professional to join our passionate and fun team.

Strategically tasked with growing New Zealand Golf’s profile and positive perception by telling our stories, this role presents an exciting and unique opportunity to help shape the future growth of New Zealand’s largest participation sport.

We are looking for an experienced Communications Manager to produce high quality work and champion a positive perception of golf. Able to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences including a focus on database segmentation, you will come with proven experience through previous PR/agency, journalism, corporate or not-for-profit communication roles.
