Whitford Park Golf Club is one of Auckland’s leading golf clubs, widely recognised for its challenging tree lined course and range of facilities. We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Course Superintendent to lead the team and the Club through the next phase of its development.

Leading a committed and experienced team and reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for presenting the golf course to its full potential to a vibrant membership and visitors to the club. The applicant will ideally have a wide experience in turf management and golf course maintenance and development. This is a full time position.

Skills required, but not limited to –

- Holding a level 4 national certificate in Turf Grass Management

- Good understanding of and experience in health and safety legislation and systems

- Ability to lead and motivate an existing team

- Good reporting and communication skills

- Growsafe and Approved Handler Certification

CLUB MANAGER - Horsham Downs Golf Club

The Horsham Downs Golf Club require a Club Manager. This is a sole charge position

The successful applicant will need to have the following skills/attributes:

A friendly and personable manner and the ability to get on with people from all walks of life.

Experience with computer software, preferably but not necessarily, Club Manager and Dot Golf.

The ability to operate the administration side of a small business, ie: GST, PAYE, ACC,

Payroll, Creditors/Debtors and have some accounting knowledge.

Hold a Bar Manager's Certificate (or the ability to get one).

The ability to generate funding for the Club, retain and grow membership levels and to work

alongside a Board and committees within an Incorporated Society.

Must be available to work some weekends.

Purpose of the Position
To oversee the day-to-day accounts processing and to assist the CFO in the compilation of reports and preparation of financial statements. Given the small size of the finance team, the position will work across the entire finance function.

·       Assisting with preparation of monthly management reporting and statutory reports and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities of the Club Manager:
Reporting of all financial and non-financial information as directed, requested or required by Mangawhai
Golf Club Board.
  • Maintaining membership with relative professional associations.
  • Liaising with our sponsors and ensuring adequate distribution for sponsorship on course and for tournaments.
  • Overseeing the care and maintenance of all the facility's physical assets and ensuring Health & Safety
  • requirements are adhered to.
  • Overseeing marketing programs designed to promote the facility’s services to potential and existing
  • members.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of quality for food and beverage service on property.
  • Managing a team of staff involved in the day to day running of the golf club.
  • Liaising with all Mangawhai Golf club committees.
Preferred requirements for the Club Manager position:
  • Previous finance/accounting background.
  • Personnel Management Skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the golf industry and the game of golf.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, DotGolf and Golf Manager applications.
  • Good written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
